Alternative Switching Methods

As you can see we offer a wide range of control methods for our equipment, and although Transmitters, Switches and Swipe Tag Readers are the most popular methods of control we can offer some alternatives as outlined below.

Passive Infrared (PIR) Detector

Passive Infrared (PIR) Detector allows a hands-free method of control which detects temperature variations within a specific detection field. The PIR sensor can detect a heat signature (a person) and will trigger a command that can be used to perform a function.

We primarily use it in conjunction with our Door Opener to open non-secure doors automatically.

Dual-Technology Detectors

Dual-Technology Detectors combine a passive infrared (PIR) sensor with a microwave sensor to create a detector that receives two forms of signal that ensure an efficient command. The PIR detector detects temperature variations within its detection field while the microwave sensor transmits a pulse and analyses the signal reflected by its environment against the signal transmitted and avoids accidental triggering.

We primarily use Dual-Technology Detectors in conjunction with our Door Opener to open a door automatically when a client enters the detector’s field of vision.

Break-Bream Detector

Break-Bream Detector allows a completely hands-free method of control with a command being taken from the moment a beam between two units is broken. This could be when a client passes through the beam or alternatively, an inanimate object breaks it.

We primarily use it in conjunction with our Door Opener to open doors automatically once the beam is broken by a user approaching the door.

Tailored to meet your needs

As with our other methods of control, we can offer different functionalities to suit a client’s specific abilities, even if their range of movement is limited.

Built to last

All of our methods of control for our equipment have been designed and manufactured with durability and ease of use in mind.
